Apple To Launch The iPhone 5 With 4G LTE In October 2012 [Analyst Report]

Will the iPhone 5 have 4G LTE? It looks very likely..

Well renowned Apple Analyst Gene Munster has said in a note to investors this week that the iPhone 5 will make its debut this October, and will definitely feature 4G LTE capabilities. Apple is said to be carrying on with a new yearly schedule following the launch of the iPhone 4S, meaning we will now see the upgrades every Autumn/Fall time. Further strengthening this prediction, Munster says that the move to LTE by manufacturers means that chipset manufacturer Qualcomm are experiencing incredible demand, making a June release date as predicted by ETNews yesterday even more unlikely.

Ever since the famous slip up of the iPhone 4 being left in a bar Apple are understandably conscious about not letting their upcoming top secret devices get out. Well Mark Gurman of 9to5mac.com has ‘confidentially declared’ that Apple has already internally seeded versions of the upcoming iPhone 5 disguised as an iPhone 4S to a number of employees at the Apple headquarters in California.

This design could be the key to Apple’s 4 inch iPhone

One of the biggest features hoped for the next iPhone is a 4 inch display to take over from the 3.5 inch one we’ve had since day one. All current designs depicting this larger screen have been sticking with the iPhone’s current 3:2 ratio between height and width, but this is the first one to go against this and predict a 9:5 more ‘candy bar’ like sized screen.

At first I thought this was merely a blind hope due to current apps not being the right size, however the designer does provide some compelling reasoning behind why apple might choose this new design.
