Cheaper iPhone With Plastic Chassis And Non Retina Display May Be On Its Way In 2013 [Rumour]

A cheaper iPhone model is something that’s been talked about by Apple fans and analysts for years, but nothing has ever really formulated from it. Well the some what questionable site DigiTimes is now saying that Apple are planning on launching a low cost iPhone later this year.

The blog once again cites ‘sources from the upstream supply chain’ and tells us that to cut costs the budget iPhone will not be made from glass and aluminium but plastic, the supplier of which is in the USA. The news also mentions rumours of the device’s polycarbonate case possibly being see through, revealing the metal skeleton underneath.

New Images Show That The iPad Mini Will Also Be Made In Anodised Black Aluminium

Leading up to the expected October 17th iPad mini release date we have certainly been getting our share of leaked images from parts of the device.

However all of the leaked pictures so far such as these comparison photos have shown the standard silver aluminium finish we have all familiarised ourselves with from the original iPad. However we have a few more images of the iPad mini’s rear shell today courtesy of Ukrainianiphone that show something we haven’t seen before, an anodised black aluminium back.

Check Out The First Tear Down And Scratch Test Of The iPhone 5 [Video]

You can only wait so long after a new Apple device is out before guys such as those at iFixYourineed to break it down and check out its insides.

That’s exactly what the guys have done here and they replace the screen and do a scratch test while they are at it.

It would seem that due to the new construction the screen is a lot easier to replace on this new device, compared to the 4 and 4S which required practically everything to be removed first.

This Picture Of Fed Ex’s Distribution Center Shows Just How Many iPhone 5′s Are Being Shopped Today

We are finally at iPhone 5 release date, and while some customers queue outside the Apple store for days, most of us prefer to pre order and get it delivered straight to our door. Well with over 2 million iPhone 5 pre orders in the first 24 hours it’s a biblical task to get them all delivered on time in itself.

We have a picture taken from one of Fed Ex’s distribution centre’s and you can see the scale of the job in hand, basically the whole shipping line is packed with iPhone 5 boxes!

A set of images have been released courtesy of BGR reportedly showing an unboxing of the new iPhone 5. The images show as usual the bundle of accessories that come with the phone are packaged u serenata the device, so the first thing you are presented with is still that beautiful new handset.
