Apple Acknowledge WiFi Issues With The New iPad And Are Replacing Faulty Products

There have been many things the the New iPad has got some stick for, mainly the iPad overheating issues which have gradually faded out now that everyone has realised its not an issue. However one problem that has been noted with the New iPad that seems to ring true is WiFi Internet issues.

A number of users report speed issues when compared to the iPad 2, when the new tablet is compared with its predecessor at equal distances from the router the new device actually performed slower, despite the superior processor chip.

Foxconn Recruiter Hints At A June Release For The iPhone 5

We mentioned a few days ago about production of the iPhone 5, as Apple’s primary manufacturer Foxconn is currently hiring up to 20,000 new workers in preparation. Well Japanese blog Makotakara have posted a video of a local TV crew asking a woman in a manned booth outside the Foxconn plant just why Foxconn are recruiting all of these people. To this the Foxconn employee replied that these were ‘something to do with the next iPhone in June’.

So maybe we will see a new iPhone at WWDC this summer? This is the first bit of news suggesting this for a long time but I wouldn’t hold your breath. … Read the rest

Take that media: 98% Of Customers Are Satisfied With Their New iPad

Since the release of the newest third generation iPad the media have grabbed onto every piece of negativity on the device they can and exploited it for attention. Well via CultOfMac we have the first consumer reports of the New iPad that should dispose of most of these negative reports for good. The survey conducted by Changewave found that 82% of respondents were ‘fully satisfied’ with their new iPad and 16% were at least ‘somewhat satisfied’. Combining the two that’s a 98% satisfaction rating.

What’s really expected from the iPhone 5! [Cartoon]

We of all people know how many features are rumoured and expected from an upcoming iPhone, well this witty cartoon from Bizarro pretty much sums up everything we could want from the sixth generation device!
Also, despite the time travelling and teeth cleaning features i enjoyed the ‘Does not contain a phone’ clause at the bottom.

Apple may soon be bringing you your own fun little avatar for your iOS device

One thing that Apple has really been pushing in iOS for the past few years is its Game Center, turning your playing of apps on your iOS device into more of a full gaming experience where you can compare scores and go against your friends just like a fully fledged games console. Well a recently filed patent by Apple may reveal their next step for the game center, personal avatars.

The patent which was picked up by Patently Apple reveals Apples plan to let you have your very own avatar to customise to your likening and represent you in the iOS gaming world.

Android maintains lead in the smartphone market but iOS is hot on their heels

Its no suprise that with being an open operating system that anyone can make a phone for, no matter how expensive or cheap, that Android is a market leader for smartphones by quite some way. A recent Survey conduted in the U.S has confirmed that Android is still very much in this postion, but as of late iOS is gaining up to them fast.

The chart on the left shows the overall share with Android haveing a good 16% market share lead over Apple’s iOS. We can also see that RIM’s Blackberry is hardly in the running anymore, around a year ago their market share was hovering around the 18% … Read the rest
