Not that long ago we reported how the iPad 5 would be lighter and thinner than the current iPad. Following on from this we have now had a report from the famous rumour mill DigiTimes saying that one of the main improvements on this next Apple device will be significant weight reduction. The report states, just like the rumour earlier in the year that the iPad 5 would be at least 25% lighter than its predecessor.

We have had a collection of iPad 5 leaked images surface recently, from the front of the device to a few of reported iPad 5 cases. They all seem to point at the same new design, but today we have what may be the first hard specs on the device.

Possible Leaked Picture Of The iPad 5 Shows New Slimmer Front Profile

Nearly all of the iPad 5 rumours we have been hearing about this year have indicated at a new iPad mini style design. Well courtesy of French blog Nowhereelse.fr we may have the first leaked picture of the fifth generation iPad, and it suggests that Apple will be changing the front profile of the device for the first time since its creation.

The leaked part pictured is rumoured to show the front panel for the upcoming tablet, clearly showing significantly thinner side bezels just like on the iPad mini.
