Normally the world of Apple rumours relies on tip offs ornews from someone up the supply chain, well today major screen manufacturer Sharp have made it very easy for us by outwardly announcing that they will begin shipment of screens for the iPhone 5 this month.

Unlike the other screen producers such as LG, Sharp seem to be dismissing Apple’s prime rule of secrecy and publicly announcing that the screens will be shipped in August. So we know the new device is right around the corner, furthermore if parts are being shipped now this fits in very well with our September iPhone release date prediction that was reported earlier on in the week.

The screens are to feature the latest ‘in cell’ screen technology, involving a lot less layers being needed in the screen assembly and ultimately producing a thinner screen and a thinner iPhone.

We give thanks to Sharp for making it easy for us for once!
