News today via iMore has given us the first credible report on when the next iPhone and rumoured iPad mini could be announced to the public.
iMore report that the upcoming iPhone 5 and iPad Mini will be finally unveiled to the public at a special event on September 12th, with the iPhone 5 being released for purchase just 9 days later on September 21st. They cite ‘credible sources that have been accurate in the past’ and iMore have proven to be very accurate in the past, if you remember they were the first to accurately state the iPad 3 release date back in February.
They do say that the release date of the iPad Mini is still unconfirmed however it could possibly be on the same date as the new iPhone. The iPad 3 was released earlier this year 9 days after its announcement and the iPhone 4S was released 10 days after its announcement on October 4th, so this rumour of announcement and release dates could hold some water.
Yesterday we also released the first leaked iPhone 5 images on behalf of a spare parts website so it looks like as we near its release more and more information on the iPhone 5 is coming to light.
