From the flurry of news and rumours as of late we know we’re pretty close to a whole new redesigned 2012 MacBook Pro range being revealed to us.

According to recent sources we could have one more stunning feature that comes with the next MacBook and this is a 2880×1800 pixel Retina display. The sources as quoted by Geek.com are claiming there will be a second quarter 2012 release for the MacBook Pro, and their resolution will be raised to this super 2880×1800 size. This would by far make it the highest quality display on any commercial laptops. The sources say as we have heard before that this move is to further differentiate it’s products from the rising competitors.

As you may of heard before this new MacBook is rumoured to be a 2012 MacBook Pro and Air combined, with Apple supposedly ditching both models and combining them for one MacBook that has it all, the speed of a Pro with the super sleek design of the Air.
This means that Apples next flagship MacBook is going to be significantly thinner, but with the rise of windows alternative ‘Ultrabooks’ that’s simply not going to be enough on its own to sell this new device like it was for the air. This means a retina display could be a distinct possibility for the new range to fend off the rising competition.

As with most rumours from these outside sources they are to be taken with a pinch of salt, but nevertheless it’s another possible feature we could be seeing. Most experts believe the new range will be revealed to us within the coming months around June time, so keep your eyes peeled for a new MacBook Pro at WWDC 2012.
